I believe that individuals hold the key to healing within themselves and my mission is to walk alongside you as you unlock your inner strengths. I specialize in helping individuals heal and integrate traumatic experiences and in helping couples build a secure bond. I am currently working on certifications in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) and in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). In addition, I also have training in Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC), Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
Thank you for being here. I work with individuals, couples, and families. My approach utilizes a culturally sensitive attachment lens and incorporates self-compassion and mindfulness to navigate the journey towards life balance and calm. Growing up as a Mexican-American woman I have had my own experiences of marginalization. My heart strives to provide comprehensive treatment which is culturally sensitive and inclusive of LGBTQI+ affirming practices. My goal is to provide clients with a safe, non-judgmental atmosphere in which they can feel seen.
With couples, it is important that each individual feels supported and not targeted as "the problem". Providing a safe environment, I foster unity and an understanding of the patterns that keep couples feeling stuck. Couples can then move out of those patterns and closer to one another.
I am certified in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), and have advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I enjoy working with the ADHD community and am personally touched by the experience of neurodiversity in blended families/relationships. I am a certified ADHD clinical services provider.
Tailoring treatment unique to my clients enables me to walk alongside them on their journey to authenticity and deepen their sense of security in the world around them.
Personal Background
I share my life with my husband, the son of Polish immigrants. While our life experiences differ in many ways, those differences have deepened our connection and enriched our relationship by offering us diverse perspectives. Together we have a blended bi-racial family with children in different life stages. We also live with two rescue pups with very different personalities. My personal experience of blending reminds me daily of the beauty and complexity that diversity brings to relationships- an understanding I carry into my work as a therapist.
Educational Background
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#123227). I earned my Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from COAMFTE-accredited California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University. I received my Bachelors degree in vocal performance from California State University Sacramento.
Interests and Hobbies
I believe goals are our anchors during times of crisis. The struggles we encounter during the pursuit of our goals can serve as a metaphor for our journey through life. Like many, I have had challenges with my identity and weight. Endurance running plays a big part in my self-care. As a woman in menopause I proudly and humbly completed the 2025 Boston Marathon- proof that strength, resilience, and transformation don't end at midlife or at any of our perceived barriers.
